Submit Encounters

Within the ABM Portal, you can submit already prepared transactions of the following transactions types: Encounter.Submission, Summary.Report. The file formats supported for data submission are .xml, .json, .csv and .xlsx. The transaction may be archived to .zip to reduce its size. To upload Encounter. Submission transaction, follow the below steps.

Step 1. Log in to https://abm.moh.gov.sa/.

Home page loads.

Step 2. Select Services > Submit Encounters from the menu or click Submit Encounters tile on the dashboard.

Step 3. Click Browse and select the transaction file.

The path to the selected file is shown.

Step 4. Click Split successful and failed records if necessary, then click Send. 

If Split successful and failed records is checked, then encounters from the file are validated one by one, and the file splits into two batches: one containing all encounters that have passed validation and the other containing all encounters that have failed validation.

• A new transaction file is created in the browse folder and all records having validation errors are moved there from the original file. The file name format is <original_name>_Failed.xml (or .json, .csv, .xlsx, .zip depending on the original file extension).
• Successful records stay in the original file, and the file gets uploaded to the Post Office and moved to _Sent folder.
• The errors report is returned for the failed batch as a grid where data can be reviewed.

If Split successful and failed records is unchecked, then encounters from the file are validated one by one but the file is not updated.

• In case all encounters that have passed validation (no errors are raised, only warnings), the file gets uploaded to the ABM Portal and moved to _Sent folder.
• In case the transaction has failed validation (at least one error is raised), the file is not uploaded to the ABM Portal and stays in the browse folder as is. The errors report is returned as a grid.
