Edit patient

Patient data can be updated during the treatment. For example, the contact info has been changed or a patient already has new health insurance. The user can edit the patient data on Patient Details form as well as update the data on Patient Details tab while creating a prior request or a claim.


Step 1.
 Select Patients > Find Patients from the menu. 
       Patient Search form opens.

Step 2. Set the search value and click Search
       The search results grid appears.


Step 3.
 Set focus on any record and click Edit.
       Patient Details form opens.


Step 4. 
Edit any field data.


Step 5. 
Click Update.
       Patient Details dialog closes. The patient is saved.



ALTERNATIVE WORKFLOWS

Update the patient while a prior request creation

  1. Click New Prior Request.
    Electronic Prior Request form opens. Patient Details tab is active.
  2. Load patient data using Find Patient field.
  3. Edit any field data.
  4. Go to Encounter Details tab and enter the visit details.
  5. Go to Procedure Details tab and enter activities details.
  6. Click Save As Draft (or Save & Send).
    Electronic Prior Request form closes. The patient data is updated. 


Update the patient while a claim creation

  1. Select Claims > New Claim from the menu.
    Electronic Claim form opens. Patient Details tab is active.
  2. Load patient data using Find Patient field.
  3. Edit any field data.
  4. Go to Encounter Details tab and enter the visit details.
  5. Go to Procedure Details tab and enter activities details.
  6. Click Save.
    An information dialog appears informing that the claim is saved in the database.
  7. Click OK.
    Electronic Claim form closes. The claim is saved. The patient data is updated.
