Minimum pre-requisites
Windows 10
4 GB Ram.
The latest version of .Net framework pre-installed.
Download and installation instructions
- Download the software installer from this link https://files.greenrain.me/Download/FacilitySetup.exe.
- Right-click and run the installer with Run as administrator option.
- If you get any prompt from Windows, UAC or anti-virus kindly press the subsequent button to proceed with the installation.
- Click next on the welcome screen.
- Choose the install directory. install directory can be changed by clicking the browse button. Click next after selecting the required install directory.
- Click install on the confirmation window.
- Observe the installation and wait till the completion screen pops up.
- Click finish on the completion window. If you would like the application to open and configure right away, you can check the ‘Launch’ button before clicking the finish button.
- Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Greenrain\Facility\Data (The folder ProgramData may be hidden by default in Windows 10, for purposes of installation you may need to navigate to View - check the box 'hidden items' under the category show/hide and then hide the folder again after the installation is done.) and assign write permission to the user who is using the Facility application on the workstation.
- For instance
- If the facility uses a common user to log into the workstation then just add that user here and add write permission
- If there are many users, just add them to the local group (USERS) and assign security permission to the local group (lusrmgr.msc)
- If the PC is domain joined then just add the OU/group here and assign appropriate permissions. And so on.
- Allow the users full control to the following folders:
C:\Greenrain\Facility
C:\ProgramData\Greenrain\Facility\Data
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Greenrain
C:\Program Files\Greenrain
NOTE: These are required for the application to work properly with the custom settings and any change in settings will be saved to the config and settings files.
Enter the license key when prompted to.
Log files
Log files can be found in the following location \Installed directory\Application log\. Log files are particularly useful for troubleshooting invalid uploads and also may be requested by Greenrain troubleshooting team for investigation.
Auto-Updates
For the application to auto-update and get the latest update on new releases, please check the following in registry.
Navigate to Start >> Search >> Type RegEdit in Search and open Registry Editor
Check for the following:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319
HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319
Should have DWORD SchuseStrongCrypto with value 1
If the value is not there, add DWORD SchuseStrongCrypto with value 1
