No access to Shafafiya from outside the UAE

Shafafiya faced plenty of connectivity issues on December 16-19, 2018 when different users suddenly got no connection to Shafafiya. Shafafiya Support replied the issue was caused by ADNET that blocked different IP address segments due to suspicious activities. Finally, Shafafiya Support sent notification on December 19, 2018 saying that all connectivity to Shafafiya from abroad had been blocked starting from December 20, 2018. In practice, all connectivity from abroad stopped working on December 19, 2018.

Unfortunately, this decision of DoH came unexpectedly without giving a grace period to adjust users infrastructure. Some providers, payers and TPAs have their hosting located outside the UAE.


For that reason, we have created Shafafiya Abroad Proxy and Shafafiya PTE Abroad Proxy to help our customers accessing Shafafiya without infrastructure changes. To switch to Shafafiya Abroad Proxy/Shafafiya PTE Abroad Proxy, do the following.

Step 1. Click Post Office Login at the top of the app.

Step 2. In Login to Post Office dialog appeared click Edit login.

Step 3. In Login to Post Office sub-dialog appeared change Post Office to Shafafiya Abroad Proxy or Shafafiya PTE Abroad Proxy.

Step 4. Click Save, then click Save in Post Office dialog.

Selected Post Office appears in the list on the main view.

Step 2. Click Upload Transactions (or Validate Only) again.
